A New Rap

So, I was lucky enough to be able to coach the 12-Runbird team today (since their head coach had to play in some small AVP tourney...you know...haha). And on the team are 3 goldies from last year including the rapper herself, CYONE. So this time, she got the whole team involved!! Hahaha

One of Those Crazy Weekend's

So this past weekend proved to be a tad bit action packed (the story of my life right now ironically). From the Mira Costa Alumni Match Fundraiser for D4K, to the Beach Babes Tournament, to Kashi and Chris' wedding, to my dad's belated family dinner...good times...haha. Actually, I truly can't complain since the events ran pretty smoothly.

The last few weeks...catch up time!

So with all the blogging I am doing with D4K I kinda get sidetracked off my own blog!! So now it is catch up time!! Haha...From the Paperback Hero/Juke Kartel Show at the Hard Rock to Angela's incognito bday party to meeting up with some UTPA peeps for lunch to the D4K Kickoff Party to Jenn's Housewarming party...yea...been kinda a blur these days (with all the health and emotional issues going on in my life)...so here are some pics :)

Mandatory Numero Uno y Dos

So I kinda fell behind on my blogging so here is one of my catch up blogs...hahaha...a combo of two weekend mandatory's....

So the last weekend of Feb, we (14 Mizuno) traveled to SD for the first SCVA mandatory. In the pool, we had the good, the bad, and the really ugly (the reffing was HORRID). After we finished the pool (in 2nd place due to a hard, but good loss to OCVBC in 3) we played our first playoff game...and started an amazing run. We literally came out on fire and never looked back. Now, one, this was the first tourney and people are really going to gun for us...Two, Encinitas' top team is playing in the 15's division this year...Three, we still have a ton to work on....all GOOD things to push us going into March and April...YEA! Anyways, the girls have taken my computer and taken pics AND now my camera and taken both pics & video! Hahaha....so here they are....

The Girl's So Grabbed My Camera!

And in the second mandatory this past weekend, we knew that we were the target of many teams...haha. This tourney, in my opinion, was MUCH harder since all the other 14's are getting better and have nothing to lose when they play us. For the most part, we played pretty well (minus the Coast playoff match). And in the end, we WON!! We are so proud of the girls!! And of course...we have yet another mandatory this next sunday...so we will see how things go!!

To Cat & Dog Owners....

I got this email from my fabulous friend Kristen and to be honest IT FITS ME AND MY BABIES PERFECTLY WELL!! Hahaha

The following was found posted very low on a refrigerator door.

Dear Dogs and Cats: The dishes with the paw prints are yours and contain
your food. The other dishes are mine and contain my food. Placing a paw print in
the middle of my plate and food does not stake a claim for it becoming your
food and dish, nor do I find that aesthetically pleasing in the slightest.

The stairway was not designed by NASCAR and is not a racetrack. Racing me to
the bottom is not the object. Tripping me doesn't help because I fall faster
than you can run.

I cannot buy anything bigger than a king sized bed. I am very sorry about
this. Do not think I will continue sleeping on the couch to ensure your
comfort. However, dogs and cats can actually curl up in a ball when they sleep. It
is not necessary to sleep perpendicular to each other, stretched out to the
fullest extent possible. I also know that sticking tails straight out and
having tongues hanging out on the other end to maximize space is nothing but
sarcasm.

For the last time, there is no secret exit from the bathroom! If, by some
miracle, I beat you there and manage to get the door shut, it is not necessary
to claw, whine, meow, try to turn the knob or get your paw under the edge in
an attempt to open the door. I must exit through the same door I entered.
Also, I have been using the bathroom for years - canine/feline attendance is
not required.

The proper order for kissing is: Kiss me first, then go smell the other dog
or cat's butt. I cannot stress this enough.

Finally, in fairness, dear pets, I have posted the following message on the
front door:

TO ALL NON-PET OWNERS WHO VISIT AND LIKE TO COMPLAIN ABOUT OUR PETS:

(1) They live here. You don't. (2) If you don't want their hair on your
clothes, stay off the furniture. That's why they call it 'fur'-niture. (3) I like
my pets a lot better than I like most people. (4) To you, they are animals.
To me, they are adopted sons/daughters who are short, hairy, walk on all
fours and don't speak clearly.

Remember, dogs and cats are better than kids because they (1) eat less, (2)
don't ask for money all the time, (3) are easier to train, (4) normally come
when called, (5) never ask to drive the car, (6) don't hang out with
drug-using people; (7) don't smoke or drink, (8) don't want to wear your clothes, (9)
don't have to buy the latest fashions, (10) don't need a gazillion dollars
for college and (11) if they get pregnant, you can sell their children ...

An Almost Perfect Weekend

So, for the most part, this weekend was adventurous, active, and refreshing all rolled into one! Oh how I like those kinda of weekends! From snowboarding for the first time to some relaxation on Sat to Disneyland (with Maddie, Stacy, and Zack) on Sunday...good times :) Now if only my lovely fam could be better (health wise) things would have been WAY better...but what can you do right?
